Verified web and iOS progress use one account record and resume from the latest accepted position.
Offline work is queued securely and counts only after server validation against the Academy rules.
Recording and redistribution are prohibited; current iOS protection uses account controls, streaming-only delivery and a learner watermark.
A learner may use the web Academy or iOS at one time—not both. Authorised administrators can release a stuck session.
This policy supplements the DPMINDS Privacy and Data Protection Declaration, Customer Terms and Academy Learner Agreement. If those documents conflict, applicable law prevails and DPMINDS will apply the provision that gives the learner the clearest lawful protection without weakening assessment or content integrity.
Purpose and scope
This policy applies to Academy lessons, video and audio, quizzes, examinations, certificates, notes, resources, live-learning access and progress synchronization delivered through the My DPMINDS iOS app and the protected web Academy. It applies to learners, trainers, administrators, contractors and service providers.
Academy-first mobile service
- The iOS app is a companion for existing, verified DPMINDS customers and Academy learners.
- It provides protected access to entitled learning; it does not sell Academy access inside the app.
- Decision Intelligence is not required for the Academy experience and may be disabled independently.
- Entitlement and identity are validated by DPMINDS servers; a local display state is never final authority.
Cross-device progress continuity
The web Academy and iOS app use the same verified learner identity and server progress record. Position, watched duration, qualifying progress, module completion, quiz and examination evidence are synchronized so a learner may continue from the most recent server-accepted point. A lesson attended to 50% on the website therefore remains at 50% when the learner signs into iOS, subject to conflict and integrity checks.
| Evidence | Continuity rule | Authority |
|---|---|---|
| Video or audio position | Resume from the latest accepted position; never reduce qualified progress | DPMINDS server record |
| Module completion | Shared across web and iOS after server validation | Academy completion record |
| Quiz or examination | Attempts and scores remain account-bound and server-graded | Assessment ledger |
| Certificate | Issued only after all current requirements are satisfied | Certificate service |
Single-channel learner sessions
To protect lesson, test and examination integrity, a learner account may hold one active Academy channel at a time: either the protected website or the My DPMINDS iOS app. Opening the other channel is refused while the first channel maintains a valid server lease. A normal close releases the lease immediately; an interrupted connection expires automatically after a short protection window.
- The restriction is enforced by the DPMINDS server and applies to Academy content, progress and assessment requests.
- Existing valid progress is preserved; the restriction does not remove lesson credit or examination evidence.
- Principal and delegated administrators are exempt for authorised support, quality-assurance and incident-response duties.
- Only those authorised administrators may inspect or release a learner's active Academy lease, and every release requires a recorded reason.
- A denied concurrent-use event or administrator release is retained as proportionate Academy security evidence and is not, by itself, proof of misconduct.
Live learning, preparation and screen sharing
Trainers may enrol eligible learners individually or through the available selection and bulk-enrolment tools. The lesson enrolment determines who may join; the service does not restrict a group lesson to one learner. Learners confirm their invitation using the registered identity. The preparation register is visible to the trainer and authorised administrators, not to other learners.
Registration opens 30 minutes before the planned start. The trainer may prepare after a learner confirms, then explicitly start early, or confirm readiness for scheduled start. Preparation alone does not transmit lesson media or start the lesson clock. A countdown does not override trainer authority, enrolment or device permissions. Lessons with expired or invalid times are not invitations to enter a current live room.
Camera, microphone and screen sharing remain deliberate choices. For iPad presentation, start screen broadcast inside My DPMINDS before switching to a teaching app. Whole-screen sharing can reveal other applications and notifications: close private material, use Focus where appropriate and stop sharing before returning to private work. Recording is off by default; any recording requires separate notice and applicable permissions.
Offline continuity and reconciliation
Where an entitled lesson has been prepared for offline use, the app may keep encrypted local lesson state, notes, resources and a queued progress journal. On reconnection, signed-in identity, entitlement, chronology and completion rules are checked before the server accepts credit. Conflicts are resolved conservatively: valid prior credit is preserved, duplicated time is not counted twice, and suspicious or incomplete events may be held for human review.
Offline access is an availability feature, not a way to bypass entitlement, attendance, assessment or content-protection rules. Cached protected material may expire or be removed when access ends.
Attendance, completion and learning credit
- Playback position alone does not necessarily prove attendance or understanding.
- Lesson credit may require a defined watched percentage, knowledge confirmation, checkpoint or live attendance record.
- Seeking, repeated fragments, background playback or unverifiable offline events do not create duplicate credit.
- DPMINDS preserves completed credit unless a documented integrity issue requires correction after human review.
- Learners may ask Academy support to review a synchronization or credit decision.
Assessment integrity and certificates
Quizzes and examinations are delivered under the learner's verified identity, graded by the protected service and recorded with the minimum evidence needed to support results and certificates. Attempt limits, pass marks, question order, single-channel access and other integrity controls may be applied. The app does not award a certificate from local state alone. Material anomalies are reviewed by an authorised person before adverse action.
Lesson recording and content protection
Learners must not record, photograph, screen-capture, copy, extract, redistribute, stream, transcribe for redistribution, reverse engineer or make protected Academy content available to another person except where DPMINDS gives written permission or law requires an accommodation.
- The current App Review-compatible iOS release does not claim to block screenshots or screen recording. DPMINDS may add proportionate operating-system controls in a later reviewed release and will update this policy before relying on them.
- Protected views may carry a learner-specific forensic watermark.
- Lesson video is streaming-only in the iOS app. Authorised learning resources use controlled, account-bound access and are not transferable unless expressly labelled as such.
- No software can stop an external camera filming a screen. That activity remains prohibited and may be investigated under this policy and the Customer Terms.
Security evidence and fair review
The current iOS release does not send screenshot-attempt or screen-recording events. DPMINDS may process minimum session, entitlement, progress-integrity and service-error evidence needed to protect the Academy. DPMINDS does not activate the camera or microphone to monitor a learner and does not continuously inspect unrelated device activity.
A security event is an indicator, not proof of misconduct. Access restriction, credit correction or another material response requires proportionate human review, recorded reasons and an opportunity for the learner to explain or appeal, except for a short protective pause needed to stop immediate exposure.
Personal data and lawful use
DPMINDS processes identity, entitlement, progress, assessment, certificate, note, live-attendance, support, active Academy channel, lease timing and limited security-event data to perform the learning contract and keep the Academy secure. Security and service-integrity processing may also rely on legitimate interests after necessity and balancing review. Legal, accounting or claims records may be retained where required. Optional marketing requires a separate choice.
Data is limited to the stated purposes, protected by role-based access and retained under the DPMINDS records schedule. Full details and UK data-protection rights are in the Privacy and Data Protection Declaration.
Video, platform and service providers
Academy delivery may use Apple, YouTube/Google, Supabase, Cloudflare/OpenAI Sites, Postmark and approved live-learning or content-delivery providers. Providers receive only the information reasonably necessary for their function and may apply their own privacy terms where they act independently. A provider change must be security-reviewed and reflected in the public privacy declaration when material.
Availability and accessibility
The mobile companion is intended to provide a practical alternative when the website or desktop is not convenient or temporarily unavailable. It does not guarantee uninterrupted connectivity. DPMINDS will use reasonable continuity, recovery and reconciliation controls and will provide reasonable adjustments where required, including an authorised alternative to a protection control where accessibility law requires it.
Account control and deletion
The app provides account and privacy controls, including a route to initiate deletion. Eligible personal data is erased or anonymised after verification and applicable checks. Records needed for tax, legal obligations, fraud prevention, certificate verification or legal claims may be restricted and retained for the required period.
Educational and non-execution boundary
The Academy is educational. The iOS app does not receive orders, place, modify or close trades, hold customer funds, connect to a broker for execution or provide personalised investment advice. Learning records and certificates do not promise profitability. Trading involves risk.
Governance, incidents and policy changes
The Founder, Director & Lead Developer owns this policy. Material incidents are preserved and handled under the DPMINDS Information Security and Incident Response Policy. This policy is reviewed at least annually and earlier after a material service, provider, legal or security change. Material learner-facing changes are posted with a new version and effective date.
